- Promote comprehension about contributions of Management Consulting to economic development and companies’ performance within the general public, highlighting the importance of this professional activity;
- Congregate, in a professional association, for mutual benefit as well as for public benefit, national Management Consulting Companies and individual Management Consultants performing with the highest professional standards, objectivity and ethical professional behavior;
- Influence Government authorities and agencies as well as private organizations regarding the importance of Management Consulting;
- Cooperate with other national and international professional associations in mutual interest matters;
- Guarantee compliance to the Code of Ethics by IBCO’s members;
- Promote in government spheres (local, state and federal Executive, Legislative and Justice powers), the establishment of adequate regulation and laws regarding Management Consulting activity;
- Represent members before the several Professional Councils, national and international associations;
- Work with government authorities and private organizations to obtain IBCO’s recognition as legitimate representative of Management Consultants in Brazil;
- Promote research and development of management tools and methodologies as well as training programs adequate for Brazil’s needs;
- Defend and enforce the right over intellectual property regarding Management Consulting in accordance with ethical and professional principles and, consequently;
- Support technical and professional development of its members.
